Top Options
NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Mark Trumbo (BAL) | vs. BOS | 9 |
Jackie Bradley Jr. (BOS) | at BAL | 9 |
Carlos Gonzalez (COL) | vs. CIN | 8 |
Mike Trout (LAA) | vs. DET | 8 |
Mookie Betts (BOS) | at BAL | 8 |
Trumbo is priced just outside of the top-tier OFs despite three extra base hits, two dingers and six RBIs in his last four outings. His intriguing, low price tag is in spite of a favorable righty-lefty matchup. It's possible the Orioles' lineup feasts on the inexperienced Red Sox' LHP Eduardo Rodriguez with Trumbo in the heart of it all.
Bradley Jr.'s hot-streak has been dazzling to watch, but since his stretch ended, he's just 2-for-14 with one extra base hit. His high-upside and moderate cost will continue to be a hot commodity in daily fantasy until his production continues to falter.
Trout and Gonzalez have plus matchups and have returned their value more often than not in the last 10 contests. Trout is hitting safely and sports a respectable .991 OPS while Gonzalez has gone yard in two-straight games with a sparkling .378 average.

Mid-Tier Targets
NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Yoenis Cespedes (NYM) | vs. CWS | 7 |
Jose Bautista (TOR) | vs. NYY | 7 |
Khris Davis (OAK) | vs. MIN | 7 |
Kris Bryant (CHC) | vs. LAD | 7 |
Adam Duvall (CIN) | at COL | 7 |
Marcell Ozuna (MIA) | vs. PIT | 7 |
Hunter Pence (SF) | at ATL | 7 |
Jacoby Ellsbury (NYY) | at TOR | 7 |
Nelson Cruz (SEA) | vs. SD | 7 |
Charlie Blackmon (COL) | vs. CIN | 7 |
Nothing against Cespedes and his 15 home runs thus far, but for DFS purposes, his value has diminished while going hitless in four straight games. His upside is tough to fade, so use him as a contrarian only.
Ozuna extended his hitting streak to 11 games with a single and home run in the series finale against the Braves. Don't be quick to roster his low DFS salary though with a matchup against Pirates' ace Gerrit Cole, who has conceded just one earned run in over his last 20 innings of work.

NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Stephen Piscotty (STL) | at MIL | 6 |
Jay Bruce (CIN) | at COL | 6 |
Michael Conforto (NYM) | vs. CWS | 6 |
Bryce Harper (WAS) | at PHI | 6 |
Jeremy Hazelbaker (STL) | at MIL | 6 |
Brandon Drury (ARI) | vs. HOU | 6 |
Brandon Guyer (TB) | at KC | 6 |
George Springer (HOU) | at ARI | 6 |
Lorenzo Cain (KC) | vs. TB | 6 |
Jose Ramirez (CLE) | vs. TEX | 6 |
Ian Desmond (TEX) | at CLE | 6 |
Miguel Sano (MIN) | at OAK | 6 |
Piscotty was scratched from Monday's lineup with food poisoning, so his status remains up in the air. He's hitting a healthy .323 this season and has produced 30 RBIs which has led to his ridiculously high DFS price tag against one of baseball's most generous pitchers, Brewers' RHP Wily Peralta.
Harper's DFS salary is solely based upon his home run production, and if he isn't crushing dingers or registering multi-hit games for that matter, it's unlikely he will return value. Add the Phillies red-hot arm of Aaron Nola into the equation, and Harper becomes a stellar contrarian option.
As a right-handed batter against Diamondbacks' southpaw Patrick Corbin, the matchup should work in Springer's favor, however he's hitting a modest .286 with only one home run and four RBIs against lefties this season.

NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Gregory Polanco (PIT) | at MIA | 5 |
Andrew McCutchen (PIT) | at MIA | 5 |
J.D. Martinez (DET) | at LAA | 5 |
Ryan Braun (MIL) | vs. STL | 5 |
Odubel Herrera (PHI) | vs. WAS | 5 |
Dexter Fowler (CHC) | vs. LAD | 5 |
Starling Marte (PIT) | at MIA | 5 |
Yasmany Tomas (ARI) | vs. HOU | 5 |
Michael Saunders (TOR) | vs. NYY | 5 |
Brandon Moss (STL) | at MIL | 5 |
Nick Markakis (ATL) | vs. SF | 5 |
With Jose Fernandez's sizzling arm on the mound for the Marlins, it's best to limit the Pirates' lethal trio of McCutchen, Polanco and Marte to GPPs.
Braun is listed as day-to-day and remains at risk to not play. Monitor his status, and if he plays, he is tough to pass up.

NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |

Matt Kemp (SD) | at SEA | 4 |
Jason Heyward (CHC) | vs. LAD | 4 |
Yasiel Puig (LAD) | at CHC | 3 |
Joc Pederson (LAD) | at CHC | 3 |
Christian Yelich (MIA) | vs. PIT | 3 |
Giancarlo Stanton (MIA) | vs. PIT | 3 |
Colby Rasmus (HOU) | at ARI | 3 |
Curtis Granderson (NYM) | vs. CWS | 3 |
Normally, Mariners RHP Hisashi Iwakuma is a prime DFS target. This is not one of the instances. Kemp is batting just .228 on the season despite going 4-for-13 with two homers in the past three games at the hitter-friendly Chase Field. When the Padres travel to Safeco Field, one of the safest ballparks for pitchers, fade Kemp.
It's likely Stanton doesn't suit up for the seventh consecutive contest with what's being reported as a sore side. Even if he plays, don't bother rostering him and his meager .214 average against the aformentioned Cole.
