Harbaugh trying to revive Michigan-Notre Dame series

At last check, Notre Dame was "chickening out" of its series with Michigan.
That's what Brady Hoke - then the head coach at Michigan - said after the Fighting Irish opted out of the annual affair a few years ago.
But these are new times, and current Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh said Friday he's looking to revive the rivalry between two of college football's most storied programs:
Harbaugh said he's been working for "7, 8, 9 months" on a game against Notre Dame. Still have "Ts to cross and i's to dot."

Michigan and Notre Dame last met in 2014, a season before Harbaugh touched down in Ann Arbor. The two programs have met 42 times in the past, with the Wolverines leading the all-time series by a head-to-head record of 24-17-1.
