Bisping says GSP camp has reached out to him about potential fight
Just a few days after Michael Bisping said he "would definitely win" a fight against Georges St-Pierre, the UFC middleweight champ might just be getting his shot.
St-Pierre is currently in the process of attempting a comeback and Bisping says the Canadian fighter's camp has reached out to him about a potential bout.
"I actually had some people reach out to me and say, 'Georges St-Pierre is interested in fighting you,'" Bisping told FOX Sports Live's Jay and Dan. "Yes, some people from his camp. I was like, 'Really? Wow. OK.'"
Bisping and St-Pierre are tied for most all-time wins in the UFC with 19 and the current title-holder would love the chance to make that record his own.
"Tell him to sign on the dotted line," said Bisping. "Just like (what I said about Dan) Henderson, if he wants to come out of retirement."
St-Pierre's potential comeback date is unknown, but his boxing coach Freddie Roach said in late may that a training camp would begin "pretty soon."
It would be Bisping's first title defense since winning the middleweight title from Luke Rockhold at UFC 199 in early June.
