Here are theScore's shortstop value rankings for Saturday, June 18 (all stats exclude Friday's games):

Value Rankings
C | 1B/DH | 2B | SS | 3B | OF | SP

Top Options

NAME OPPONENT VALUE
Francisco Lindor (CLE) vs. CWS 9
Xander Bogaerts (BOS) vs. SEA 9
Aledmys Diaz (STL) vs. TEX 8
Trevor Story (COL) at MIA 8
Jose Iglesias (DET) at KC 8

In order to roster Lindor and his lofty daily fantasy salary, owners will have to get creative when shaping their lineups. He has an appealing matchup against the ghastly pitching of the White Sox's James Shields in what could be a high scoring affair. Having shares in him could pay dividends.

Bogaerts and Lindor are priced in the same category and boast the highest floor among shortstops. The Red Sox table setter has been on a tear this year, increasing his BB% from 4.9 last season to 7.4 this season. Boston's bats are hitting a cool .352 wOBA against southpaws this season, which doesn't bode well for Mariners LHP Wade Miley.

The contact-hitting Iglesias has registered at least one hit in every game, including four extra base hits and one homer, to start June. He has yet to see a huge increase in cost and is the safest play on Saturday.

Mid-Tier Targets

NAME OPPONENT VALUE
Tim Anderson (CWS) at CLE 7
Manny Machado (BAL) vs. TOR 7
Jonathan Villar (MIL) at LAD 7
Jhonny Peralta (STL) vs. TEX 6
Eduardo Nunez (MIN) vs. NYY 6
Marcus Semien (OAK) vs. LAA 6
Carlos Correa (HOU) vs. CIN 6
Brandon Crawford (SF) at TB 6
Corey Seager (LAD) vs. MIL 6
Darwin Barney (TOR) at BAL 6
Asdrubal Cabrera (NYM) vs. ATL 5
Ketel Marte (SEA) at BOS 5
Zack Cozart (CIN) at HOU 5

Anderson's approach at the plate is just what the scuffling White Sox offense needed. He has terrific discipline at the dish and hunts pitches up, spitting on everything else. Though he lacks home run pop in his bat, he has back-to-back multi-hit games. He's a terrific buy-low option until his price spikes.

Semien has belted 12 long balls this season, but is hitting a modest .239. His DFS cost is relatively cheap and has an attractive matchup against the Angels' newly-acquired RHP Tim Lincecum, who has yet to hurl a pitch in the majors this season.

Nothing to See Here

NAME OPPONENT VALUE
Elvis Andrus (TEX) at STL 4
Addison Russell (CHC) vs. PIT 4
Alcides Escobar (KC) vs. DET 3
Andrelton Simmons (LAA) at OAK 3
Freddy Galvis (PHI) vs. ARI 3

Galvis lacks offensive upside in an already watered-down Phillies offense, and to make matters worse, the Diamondbacks will send their ace Zack Greinke to the mound, who has allowed just two earned runs in the last 23 innings.
