Here are theScore's first baseman/DH value rankings for Monday, June 20 (all stats exclude Sunday's games):
Value Rankings

Top Options
NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Brandon Belt (SF) | at PIT | 9 |
Chris Davis (BAL) | at TEX | 9 |
David Ortiz (BOS) | vs. CWS | 8 |
Miguel Cabrera (DET) | vs. SEA | 8 |
The majority of the Giants' bats have been duds this season, with the exception of Belt. His 16.2 strikeout percentage is 10 percent lower than last year's 26.4 percent and though he has only nine round trippers this season, he's hitting at a .300 clip. A matchup against Pirates LHP Jeff Locke, who has surrendered 18 runs over his last 8.2 innings, is one DFS owners must play.
Ortiz and Cabrera have continued their dependable production, sporting averages over .310 while maintaining their power. The pair have plus matchups in their respective home ball parks and are safe cash game options.

Anthony Rizzo (CHC) | vs. STL | 7 |
Victor Martinez (DET) | vs. SEA | 7 |
Steve Pearce (TB) | at CLE | 7 |
Justin Bour (MIA) | vs. COL | 6 |
Jose Abreu (CWS) | at BOS | 6 |
Mitch Moreland (TEX) | vs. BAL | 6 |
Hanley Ramirez (BOS) | vs. CWS | 6 |
Adrian Gonzalez (LAD) | vs. WAS | 6 |
Brandon Moss (STL) | at CHC | 6 |
Marwin Gonzalez (HOU) | vs. LAA | 5 |
Mike Napoli (CLE) | vs. TB | 5 |
Mark Reynolds (COL) | at MIA | 5 |
Albert Pujols (LAA) | at HOU | 5 |
Carlos Santana (CLE) | vs. TB | 4 |
John Jaso (PIT) | vs. SF | 4 |
With his forgetful May performance behind him, Rizzo is batting an astonishing .358 in June and has crushed five homers and five doubles with 13 RBIs over that same span. His cost is a bit too much for him to be considered a Top Option, but he is still an appealing cash game play.
Bour has hits in seven of his last eight contests and comes as a nice power threat against the atrocious pitching of Jorge De La Rosa, who owns a ghastly 14.40 ERA on the road this season.
Moss has the split advantage against Cubs' righty John Lackey. All 15 of Moss' homers have come from right-handed pitchers and he is also hitting RHP to the tune of .264 while sporting a tremendous 1.025 OPS.
Napoli has cooled off drastically after a hot-start to the season but can be rolled in tournaments against the scuffling Drew Smyly.
Nothing to See Here
NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Ryan Zimmerman (WAS) | at LAD | 3 |
Logan Morrison (TB) | at CLE | 3 |
Pedro Alvarez (BAL) | at TEX | 3 |
Dae-Ho Lee (SEA) | vs. DET | 3 |
Adam Lind (SEA) | vs. DET | 3 |
Matt Adams (STL) | at CHC | 3 |
Tyler White (HOU) | vs. LAA | 3 |
The Nationals lineup has little value against the spectacular pitching of Clayton Kershaw. This includes Zimmerman, whose struggles at the dish continue. He's batting .234 with just 10 dingers.
