NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Mookie Betts (BOS) | vs. CWS | 9 |
Ian Desmond (TEX) | vs. CIN | 9 |
Carlos Gonzalez (COL) | at NYY | 8 |
Michael Saunders (TOR) | vs. ARI | 8 |
Adam Duvall (CIN) | at TEX | 8 |
Betts has been a catalyst for the Red Sox' No. 1 ranked offense this season and is a staple in every DFS format. Whether it be through multi-hit games, runs scored or home runs, Betts has consistently returned value. A difficult matchup against White Sox LHP Chris Sale shouldn't be cause for hesitation.
Desmond's revitalized form with the Rangers has made him one of the most feared hitters in the game. He draws an easy matchup against the Reds' disastrous bullpen and RHP Anthony DeSclafani, who went just 2 2/3 innings against the hapless Braves offense in his most recent start.
Saunders and Gonzalez are both swinging hot bats and are viable options despite lofty price tags. Four of Saunders' last five hits have left the ball park while Gonzalez has taken more of a contact approach than Saunders, batting .476 with five runs scored, three doubles and one round tripper. Both are safe cash-game plays Tuesday.

It's no secret the Orioles are one of the best offenses in baseball, but Jones sitting atop the list on most DFS sites is a bit unsettling. His cost is so high he will need multiple hits, preferably for extra bases, and some RBIs or runs scored to be of significant value. He still has a highly favorable matchup against Padres' RHP Luis Perdomo.
If Stanton's recent three-game sample of going 6-for-12 is for real, the Marlins trio of outfielders have the potential to become the most lethal unit in all of baseball. A date against the lowly Braves and RHP Bud Norris is rather intriguing, but buyer beware - Norris' five earned runs have come over the span of 17 innings.
Trout's oddly discounted DFS salary is a must-play for a player of his caliber. Even though he has just two homers in June, his high upside and fantastic matchup against scuffling Astros RHP Collin McHugh make him a strong candidate for cash games.

Cruz is one of the most dangerous hitters in the Mariners lineup, but seems to have lost some of his usual home run pop, with just one ball leaving the park over his last 11 outings. With the Tigers sending out RHP Justin Verlander, it's best to limit Cruz to GPPs.
With an extra day of rest due to the Atheletics' off day, Davis figures to DH Tuesday and bat cleanup. If he does play, he is a terrific contrarian option with a favorable matchup against always-generous Brewers RHP Jimmy Nelson.
Span and Pagan lack the power to test the walls of PNC Park, but can be a cheap source of runs, extra-base hits and swiped bags.

Jeff Francoeur (ATL) | at MIA | 3 |

Choo is nine games removed from his DL-stint and hasn't produced much. He's hitting a paltry .231 with just one round tripper and four RBIs. Surely those numbers will improve, but it's in your best interest to fade him.
