Top Options
NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Robinson Cano (SEA) | at DET | 9 |
Jurickson Profar (TEX) | vs. CIN | 9 |
Derek Dietrich (MIA) | vs. ATL | 8 |
Ian Kinsler (DET) | vs. SEA | 8 |
DJ LeMahieu (COL) | at NYY | 8 |
Cano continues to dominate with six multi-hit games in his past 10 outings. He slashed .348/.375/.565 during that stretch. He's a safe option despite a fairly difficult matchup against improved Tigers RHP Justin Verlander.
Profar, Dietrich and Kinsler are all in the dominate side of their respective splits. Profar has the best park advantage, while Dietrich has the best pitcher matchup against Braves RHP Bud Norris.
Mid-Tier Targets
NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Ben Zobrist (CHC) | vs. STL | 7 |
Jose Altuve (HOU) | vs. LAA | 7 |
Daniel Murphy (WAS) | at LAD | 7 |
Jonathan Schoop (BAL) | vs. SD | 7 |
Josh Harrison (PIT) | vs. SF | 6 |
Chase Utley (LAD) | vs. WAS | 6 |
Scooter Gennett (MIL) | at OAK | 6 |
Joe Panik (SF) | at PIT | 6 |
Jean Segura (ARI) | at TOR | 6 |
Devon Travis (TOR) | vs. ARI | 6 |
Danny Worth (HOU) | vs. LAA | 6 |
Zobrist has a .803 ISO over his past 10 games, including two home runs, two doubles and a stolen base. He went hit-less in just two games during the stretch.
Altuve doesn't have a home run in his past 10 games, but he has five multi-hit outings and is slashing .412/.511/.441. He has seven walks to just three strikeouts.
Harrison offers plenty of cap relief and is hitting .287 against right-handed pitching this year. He has a tough matchup but is well worth the risk at a near-basement price.
NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Neil Walker (NYM) | vs. KC | 5 |
Jed Lowrie (OAK) | vs. MIL | 5 |
Aaron Hill (MIL) | at OAK | 5 |
Johnny Giavotella (LAA) | at HOU | 5 |
Rob Refsnyder (NYY) | vs. COL | 5 |
Steve Pearce (TB) | at CLE | 5 |
Darwin Barney (TOR) | vs. ARI | 5 |
Cesar Hernandez (PHI) | at MIN | 5 |
Andres Blanco (PHI) | at MIN | 5 |
Jose Peraza (CIN) | at TEX | 5 |
The switch-hitting Walker has preferred lefties this year, but he's brought similar power from both sides and has hit nine of his 14 homers from the left side.
Pearce used to be a viable option only against lefties, but he's hitting over .300 in both sides of the split this year. He's still not the best option against Indians ace Corey Kluber.
Nothing to See Here
NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Logan Forsythe (TB) | at CLE | 4 |
Brandon Phillips (CIN) | at TEX | 4 |
Rougned Odor (TEX) | vs. CIN | 4 |
Starlin Castro (NYY) | vs. COL | 4 |
Chase d'Arnaud (ATL) | at MIA | 4 |
Brett Lawrie (CWS) | at BOS | 3 |
Brian Dozier (MIN) | vs. PHI | 3 |
Jason Kipnis (CLE) | vs. TB | 3 |
Chris Coghlan (CHC) | vs. STL | 3 |
Whit Merrifield (KC) | at NYM | 3 |
Howie Kendrick (LAD) | vs. WAS | 3 |
Yangervis Solarte (SD) | at BAL | 2 |
Dustin Pedroia (BOS) | vs. CWS | 2 |
Forsythe has looked good in the Rays' leadoff position, but the team may struggle to score runs against Kluber. He's not worth his high price tag.
The left-handed hitting Odor has preferred left-handed pitching this year, making him a worthy fade against Reds RHP Anthony DeSclafani.
Pedroia needs to be faded against White Sox LHP Chris Sale, for obvious reasons.
