Top Options
NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Jake Lamb (ARI) | vs. PHI | 9 |
Josh Donaldson (TOR) | at COL | 8 |
Jurickson Profar (TEX) | at NYY | 8 |
Luis Valbuena (HOU) | at LAA | 8 |
Lamb is priced among the top-tier three-baggers, but it's well deserved. He is hitting .469 with two doubles, two triples, three homers and 11 RBIs in his last nine games. The left-handed hitter will face RHP Vince Velasquez, who could be rusty and/or on a pitch count in his first start back from the disabled list. Lamb is hitting .310 with a .984 OPS against righties this season.
Once baseball's top prospect, Profar now seems to be baseball's best comeback story. The switch-hitter is batting .426 with a 1.117 OPS from the left-side this year. He will face RHP Ivan Nova, who has a 6.88 ERA in his last six starts. The only concern with Profar is whether he can get in the lineup; a crowded infield has led to on-and-off playing time.
Valbuena is hitting .380/.475/.620 since June 5. For a player with plenty of home run power, he comes at a very reasonable price.
Mid-Tier Targets
NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Evan Longoria (TB) | vs. BOS | 7 |
Chase Headley (NYY) | vs. TEX | 7 |
Cheslor Cuthbert (KC) | vs. STL | 7 |
Danny Valencia (OAK) | at SF | 6 |
Nolan Arenado (COL) | vs. TOR | 6 |
Chase d'Arnaud (ATL) | vs. CLE | 6 |
Marwin Gonzalez (HOU) | at LAA | 5 |
Jose Ramirez (CLE) | at ATL | 5 |
Jhonny Peralta (STL) | at KC | 5 |
Kris Bryant (CHC) | at CIN | 5 |
Longoria has scuffled a bit as of late, but he has hit .298 with a .394 OBP against left-handed pitching this season. The Rays as a whole have fared better against southpaws, creating a better chance Longoria has runners to drive in or by whom he can be driven in once reaching base. LHP Eduardo Rodriguez has allowed seven home runs in his last three starts.

Adrian Beltre (TEX) | at NYY | 4 |
Matt Carpenter (STL) | at KC | 4 |
Wilmer Flores (NYM) | at WAS | 3 |
Alex Rodriguez (NYY) | vs. TEX | 3 |

Anthony Rendon (WAS) | vs. NYM | 2 |
Travis Shaw (BOS) | at TB | 2 |
Maikel Franco (PHI) | at ARI | 2 |
Eugenio Suarez (CIN) | vs. CHC | 2 |
Franco has poor reverse-splits. He has a .175 average against lefties this season despite being a right-handed hitter. He also happens to be hitting .152 in his last 10 games. Stay away.
