NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Colby Rasmus (HOU) | at LAA | 9 |
Tyler Naquin (CLE) | at ATL | 9 |
Peter Bourjos (PHI) | at ARI | 9 |
Brandon Nimmo (NYM) | at WAS | 8 |
Mike Trout (LAA) | vs. HOU | 8 |
Carlos Beltran (NYY) | vs. TEX | 8 |
Yoenis Cespedes (NYM) | at WAS | 8 |
Shin-soo Choo (TEX) | at NYY | 8 |
The Astros are scoring runs in bunches these days and Rasmus has been a big part of it. The club had won nine of its last 10 games heading into Sunday, averaging 6.4 runs per game over that span led by Rasmus' .389 average. He is 5-for-13 with a big fly in his career against projected Angels starter Matt Shoemaker.
Bourjos has always had the glove to play everyday (he is the reason Trout didn't play center field full-time until 2014), but his bat has always lagged behind. Playing everyday once again (it appears) for the Phillies seems to have awoken his bat. He is hitting .444 in his last five games and .333 in 51 at-bats against lefties this season. He will face LHP Robbie Ray.
Nimmo was re-called from Triple-A Las Vegas to start for the struggling Michael Conforto Saturday. The 23-year-old went hit-less in his debut Sunday, but he was slashing .328/.409/.508 with Las Vegas this season. The left-handed hitter will face RHP Joe Ross and is worth taking a flier on in tournaments considering his basement-level price.

Michael A. Taylor (WAS) | vs. NYM | 5 |
Jacoby Ellsbury (NYY) | vs. TEX | 5 |
Brett Gardner (NYY) | vs. TEX | 5 |
Matt Holliday (STL) | at KC | 5 |
Though Piscotty has been ice-cold lately, he is hitting .381 with a .506 OBP in 79 plate appearances against lefties this season. Facing southpaw Danny Duffy should help the second-year outfielder get back on track.
Carrera's value is completely tied as to whether he leads off or not. If he hits at the top-of-the-order, he has tremendous value playing at Coors Field in front of a loaded lineup.

Pillar has a measly .285 OBP against right-handers this season and will have to face the talented Jon Gray. He isn't worth his Coors Field price spike.
All 16 of Moss' home runs this season have come against right-handed pitching. His OPS against lefties is nearly half of what it is against righties and he will face hard-throwing southpaw Danny Duffy.
