Here are theScore's catcher value rankings for Monday, June 27 (all stats exclude Sunday's games):

Value Rankings
C | 1B/DH | 2B | SS | 3B | OF | SP

Top Options

NAME OPPONENT VALUE
Willson Contreras (CHC) at CIN 9
Brian McCann (NYY) vs. TEX 8
Sandy Leon (BOS) at TB 8
Salvador Perez (KC) vs. STL 8

Even with Miguel Montero expected to start at catcher for SP Jake Arrieta, Contreras is being worked into the lineup at a variety of different positions. He has at least one hit in each of his nine major league games thus far, posting an OPS of 1.400.

McCann has seven hits over his past four games, including two home runs and a double. He'll face Rangers RHP Chi Chi Gonzalez with the left-handed advantage of Yankee Stadium boosting his power upside.

Mid-Tier Targets

NAME OPPONENT VALUE
Cameron Rupp (PHI) at ARI 7
Russell Martin (TOR) at COL 7
Stephen Vogt (OAK) at SF 7
Tyler Flowers (ATL) vs. CLE 7
Jason Castro (HOU) at LAA 6
Buster Posey (SF) vs. OAK 6
Yadier Molina (STL) at KC 6
Jett Bandy (LAA) vs. HOU 6
Welington Castillo (ARI) vs. PHI 5
Nick Hundley (COL) vs. TOR 5
Curt Casali (TB) vs. BOS 5

Rupp's salary has soared ahead of a series in the hitter-friendly confines of Chase Field but with three home runs in his past four games, he's capable of meeting his rising standards.

Martin faces the Coors Field salary jump, but he has posted a .563 slugging percentage over his past 10 games. He's capable of a big game, but there are cheaper options with similar upside.

Bandy has a much higher ceiling against left-handed pitchers, but he's been a reliable producer in each of the side split. He should be able to reach base against Astros RHP Collin McHugh.

Nothing to See Here

NAME OPPONENT VALUE
Wilson Ramos (WAS) vs. NYM 4
Travis d'Arnaud (NYM) at WAS 4
Ramon Cabrera (CIN) vs. CHC 3
Evan Gattis (HOU) at LAA 3
Miguel Montero (CHC) at CIN 3
Yan Gomes (CLE) at ATL 2

Ramos is slashing .366/.381/.561 over his past 10 games, but he faces an imposing matchup against Mets RHP Noah Syndergaard. He'll need to be faded accordingly.
