Here are theScore's first baseman/DH value rankings for Monday, June 27 (all stats exclude Sunday's games):

Value Rankings
C | 1B/DH | 2B | SS | 3B | OF | SP

Top Options

NAME OPPONENT VALUE
Brandon Belt (SF) vs. OAK 9
Anthony Rizzo (CHC) at CIN 9
Justin Smoak (TOR) at COL 8
Edwin Encarnacion (TOR) at COL 8
A.J. Reed (HOU) at LAA 8
Hanley Ramirez (BOS) at TB 8

While his home park doesn't do Belt any favors in terms of power, he's posted a 1.039 OPS over his past 10 games. He's hitting .318 against righties this season, including 18 of his 21 doubles.

If Smoak is able to rejoin the Blue Jays' lineup, he represents better value than Encarnacion due to a lower salary. He'll bat from the left side of the plate against Rockies RHP Jon Gray, wherein lies the majority of his power.

Reed still comes extremely cheap, making him a strong candidate, despite a reasonably difficult matchup against Angels RHP Matt Shoemaker.

Mid-Tier Targets

NAME OPPONENT VALUE
Tommy Joseph (PHI) at ARI 7
Freddie Freeman (ATL) vs. CLE 7
C.J. Cron (LAA) vs. HOU 7
Eric Hosmer (KC) vs. STL 7
Paul Goldschmidt (ARI) vs. PHI 7
Prince Fielder (TEX) at NYY 6
Mark Reynolds (COL) vs. TOR 6
Carlos Santana (CLE) at ATL 6
Mitch Moreland (TEX) at NYY 6
James Loney (NYM) at WAS 5
Marwin Gonzalez (HOU) at LAA 5
Rob Refsnyder (NYY) vs. TEX 5
Logan Morrison (TB) vs. BOS 5
Yonder Alonso (OAK) at SF 5
David Ortiz (BOS) at TB 5

Joseph is hitting .367 against lefties this season, and he'll face Diamondbacks LHP Robbie Ray in the friendly confines of Chase Field. He can be trusted in all formats despite his .524 OPS over his past 10 games.

Fielder hit his seventh home run of the season Sunday, and he'll have a good shot at his eighth with the left-handed advantage in Yankee Stadium. RBIs will follow suit as a left-handed dominant Rangers lineup should do plenty of damage against Yankees RHP Ivan Nova.

Ortiz is nearly a fade candidate against Rays LHP Blake Snell. Ortiz is hitting just .265 against southpaws this season, with only two of his 18 home runs coming against them.

Nothing to See Here

NAME OPPONENT VALUE
Joey Votto (CIN) vs. CHC 4
Alex Rodriguez (NYY) vs. TEX 4
Mike Napoli (CLE) at ATL 3
Albert Pujols (LAA) vs. HOU 3
Ryan Zimmerman (WAS) vs. NYM 3
Brandon Moss (STL) at KC 3
Travis Shaw (BOS) at TB 3
Mark Teixeira (NYY) vs. KC 2
Kendrys Morales (KC) vs. STL 2

Votto has returned to his former self, but he's likely to hit a snag against Cubs RHP Jake Arrieta. He's a dangerous play with his rising price.

Morales hit two home runs Sunday, but the switch-hitter has largely struggled against righties this year, and he'll have to face Cardinals RHP Adam Wainwright.
