Report: Durant lines up meetings with Clippers, Celtics, Heat
The biggest name on the free-agent market has quite the full calendar over the next few days.
With Kevin Durant setting up shop in the Hamptons to meet with prospective teams interested in acquiring his services, the Los Angeles Clippers, Boston Celtics, and Miami Heat have all scheduled meetings with the former MVP, according to ESPN's Marc Stein.
Durant will meet with the Clippers on Friday, the Celtics on Saturday, and then the Heat on Sunday. This comes in addition to the free-agent meeting Durant reportedly already has scheduled for Thursday with his current club, the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Golden State Warriors reportedly also have scheduled a meeting with Durant on Friday.
Like the Celtics, the San Antonio Spurs will meet with Durant on Saturday.
Durant has spent his entire career with the Oklahoma City franchise (he originally played for the Seattle SuperSonics prior to their relocation). He averaged 28.2 points, 8.2 rebounds, and five assists in 72 games last season.
