Okposo chooses Sabres on 7-year, $42M deal
Aaron Doster-USA TODAY Sports
The Buffalo Sabres signed free-agent forward Kyle Okposo to a seven-year contract, the club announced Friday. The deal is worth $42 million, according to multiple reports.
Okposo will bolster an already supremely talented Sabres top six, but should also provide a solid veteran presence and man the power play.
The deal was reported to be heavily front-loaded, and John Vogl of Buffalo News tweeted the specifics later Friday:
At 28, Okposo is one of the top goal-scoring wingers in the league, and has registered more than 50 points in each of the past three seasons.
