Horford meets with 4 teams, Hawks still in the mix

One of the biggest free agent fish could soon be off the market.

All-Star big man Al Horford plans to decide on his future over the weekend, according to The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski, with ESPN's Ramona Shelburne adding that Horford met with the Boston Celtics, Houston Rockets, Washington Wizards, and a fourth mystery team Friday in Atlanta.

Horford, a four-time All-Star and one-time All-NBA selection, has spent his entire nine-year career with the Hawks, leading Atlanta to nine consecutive postseason trips despite being drafted by a franchise that had endured an eight-year playoff drought.

A return to the Hawks can't yet be ruled out, but the team would have to clear cap space after signing Dwight Howard and re-signing Kent Bazemore on the first day of free agency.

Horford, 30, averaged 15.2 points, 7.3 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 1.5 blocks on an effective field-goal percentage of 54.7 while suiting up for all 82 games in 2015-16.
