Arsenal reaches deal to sign Japanese youngster Takuma Asano

Arsenal confirmed Sunday that an agreement has been reached in principle with Sanfrecce Hiroshima for the signing of 21-year-old Japanese forward Takuma Asano.
The deal is subject to a medical and "regulatory processes."
"Takuma is a talented young striker and very much one for the future. He has had an impressive start to his career in Japan and we look forward to him developing over the next couple of years," manager Arsene Wenger said of his latest signing.
Asano, who made his full debut for the Japanese national team in 2015, has five international caps to his name, and is expected to be in the squad for the upcoming Rio Olympics.
Having joined Sanfrecce Hiroshima as an 18-year-old in 2013, Asano went on to make 56 appearances for the club, scoring 11 goals and being named J-League 'Rookie of the Year' in 2015.
