Collector skewered on Twitter for showing up at Fort Bragg
Zack Hample, a prominent baseball collector, drew plenty of scorn on social media for showing up at Sunday's historic showdown between the Miami Marlins and Atlanta Braves at Fort Bragg, where all 12,500 seats were reserved for Department of Defense employees and their families.
Fort Bragg commemorative baseballs? Oh yes! Martin Prado just tossed this to me after the 3rd inning. pic.twitter.com/OQoGJfExbR

Hample, who claims to have collected more than 9,000 baseballs at 51 different MLB stadiums, said he got his ticket "through a friend whose entire unit got 'em," but a screencap showed the 38-year-old soliciting tickets from active DOD members on Tinder.
.@zack_hample then why did you do this? pic.twitter.com/fX7EHsbOWF

Not surprisingly, many found Hample's presence at the game unacceptable.

@zack_hample you took a baseball away from a soldier or their child…real class act

I love my country and all who protect it. This was put on to honor those brave men/women. How @zack_hample weaseled his way in is appalling.
