Forward Lee Tomlin will play for Bristol City for the next three seasons after proving his worth on loan at the Championship club.
The 27-year-old joined City from Bournemouth in January and made the move permanent Tuesday for an undisclosed fee. Tomlin scored six goals in 18 matches to help City avoid relegation to League One.
"We're delighted to welcome Lee back to Ashton Gate. Credit has to go to the board for their efforts in getting this deal done," said manager Lee Johnson. "I believe we've signed the most talented player at (the) Championship level in terms of ability. He was fantastic for us last season and I believe his best football is ahead of him."
After climbing the English football leader over the past 10 years, Tomlin failed to make an impact with Bournemouth in the club's first Premier League season. It was his first chance in the top flight as well, but he only earned six league appearances.
Life in the Championship now suits Tomlin, who's assured of a starter's role.
