Here are theScore's outfielder value rankings for Saturday, July 9 (all stats exclude Friday's games):

Value Rankings
C | 1B/DH | 2B | SS | 3B | OF | SP

Top Options

NAME OPPONENT VALUE
Marcell Ozuna (MIA) vs. CIN 10
Ian Desmond (TEX) vs. MIN 9
Carlos Gonzalez (COL) vs. PHI 8

Ozuna ranks second among all qualified outfielders with a 1.203 OPS vs. left-handed pitchers. He has hit just 10-for-43 with just one extra-base hit (a home run) over his last 10 games, which helps to lower his price. Against rookie John Lamb, Ozuna could have a big night.

The Rangers get to face the volatile Ricky Nolasco at home in Globe Life Park. Expect a handful of extra-base hits when all's said and done. Desmond is the top choice among Texas outfielders, as he has posted a great .941 OPS at home vs. RHPs this season and comes in hot, but Nomar Mazara also makes for a decent play in GPPs.

Mid-Tier Targets

NAME OPPONENT VALUE
Giancarlo Stanton (MIN) vs. CIN 7
Jeff Francoeur (ATL) at CWS 6
Mark Trumbo (BAL) vs. LAA 5

Stanton has really broken out of his slump with four homers between Wednesday and Thursday's games. That said, his slugging percentage at home (.512) is nearly 100 points lower than when he plays away from Marlins Park (.604). Don't expect him to punch another two round-trip tickets on Saturday but he could still return cash-game value.

Francouer is slashing an unremarkable .262/.303/.369 in the middle of one of the worst lineups in baseball, but he's a much better hitter against LHPs and Jose Quintana has allowed seven homers in his last five starts. All three of Frenchy's homers have come on the road this year; he only needs one big hit to break even against his meager salary.

Nothing to See Here

NAME OPPONENT VALUE
Rajai Davis (CLE) vs. NYY 4
Yoenis Cespedes (WAS) at NYM 3
Jackie Bradley Jr. (BOS) vs. TB 2

Davis and opposing pitcher CC Sabathia have both experienced a late-career revival at age 35. While Davis is on pace for nearly 20 homers and 45 steals this season, he has historically fared poorly against Sabathia, hitting just 8-for-44 with just two walks no home runs against the Yankees' veteran.

When All-Star hitters face Cy Young-level pitchers, the smart money is on the pitcher. Cespedes would be a solid contrarian choice against a left-handed ace because he crushes southpaws, but with a simply good .887 OPS against righties, leave him on the bench versus Nationals flamethrower Max Scherzer. Fade the Mets' entire outfield, for that matter.

Bradley Jr. is hitting just .220 over his past 10 games and doesn't hit lefties well in general. For his high salary, stay away.
