Dwight Howard had a front row seat to a different free-throw technique, but it doesn't sound like the poor-shooting center plans on adopting it.
While taking in the Atlanta Hawks-Houston Rockets summer league game on Friday, Rockets rookie Chinanu Onuaku broke out an underhand free throw.
"Oh wow," Howard said while sitting in on the broadcast." That threw me off for a second."
Howard, who signed a three-year, $70.5-million deal with Atlanta, is a career 56.8 percent free-throw shooter and is coming off a year in which he shot a career-worst 48.9 percent.
Onaku, the No. 37 pick in the 2016 Draft, shot 58.9 percent from the free-throw line during his sophomore year with Louisville, and converted 1-of-2 attempts at the stripe.
