The 30-year-old is a marauding full-back adept on both sides of the defence, and he spent the latter part of last term in a temporary spell with Bologna as first-team opportunities with his parent club in Campania were limited.
In moving to Vicarage Road, Zuniga reunites with Walter Mazzarri, under whom he played for four years at Napoli. The Colombian international previously represented Siena for a season, his first stop after leaving Atletico Nacional in his homeland in 2008.
Zuniga was shunted onto the right wing for Bologna, but at Watford he'll offer immediate competition to the freight train that is right-back Allan Nyom and provide cover on the left that has looked a little thin since Nathan Ake's loan spell from Chelsea expired, and Jose Holebas turned 32.
Mazzarri has also added Jerome Sinclair, Christian Kabasele, and Isaac Success to his squad, and will man the touchline in his first competitive match at Claude Puel's Southampton on Aug. 13.
