Jones: 'I know in my heart that I'm not a cheater'
Jon Jones has been careful not to reveal too much to the public since a recent drug test cost him his main event spot at UFC 200, but now that the cat is out of the bag as far as what substances he was popped for, he's back on Twitter speaking to his fans.
Responding to one supporter, Jones reaffirmed his stance that he would never knowingly cheat.
Don't write me off just yet, I know in my heart that I'm not a cheater. I trust in the system to help me prove it https://t.co/aE2vP9BlVp

He also had a response to a fan who criticized him for wasting his potential and asked "How many comebacks can you have in one career?"
As many as it takes for me to get it right, as many as I'm willing to fight for https://t.co/5yr20q1EFx

Jones is being accused of using substances that could mask or aid in recovery from steroid use. He wrote a pair of tweets that seemed to acknowledged the accusations, while still maintaining his innocence in regards to any intentional use of performance enhancers.
You're absolutely right man, I learned that myself over the last week. But it doesnt mean you actually took steroids https://t.co/qkv6tw3Dej

As for whether or not his situation is comparable to Brock Lesnar, another fighter tied to UFC 200 who was busted for a doping violation, Jones was short and diplomatic.
I know we are not in the same boat, I'll just leave it at that https://t.co/vDn1Vv8jAX
