West Ham christens Olympic Stadium by reaching Europa League play-offs

West Ham is one step closer to the Europa League proper, as the Hammers raised the curtain on their new 60,000-seat home, the Olympic Stadium, with a 3-0 victory over Slovenian side Domzale on Thursday.

The victory, which came courtesy of a brace from Cheikhou Kouyate and a late tally from Sofiane Feghouli, gave the Premier League side a 4-2 victory on aggregate, and a place in the play-off round of the competition.
The draw for the final qualifying round of the Europa League takes place Friday.
