Denver Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib made his return to the practice field Monday for the first time since suffering a gunshot wound to his leg in the offseason.
The nine-year veteran was placed on the non-football injury list to begin camp as he recovered from the events of a shooting at a Dallas nightclub on June 5.
It has been reported that - due to a possibly self-inflicted gunshot - a bullet entered his right thigh and exited his right calf, yet the injuries did not require surgery.
The Broncos have maintained Talib would not miss any regular-season action, although the league is "actively" looking into the situation.
Talib will return to his spot on the starting lineup of the league's No. 1 defense.
