Everton manager Ronald Koeman has put a flat stop to rumours that Romelu Lukaku is set to depart the club and re-join Chelsea, telling reporters he intends to hang on to the Belgium striker through the summer transfer window.
The 23-year-old striker left the Blues and joined the Toffees to great success, scoring 18 goals and recording six assists last season. But having already lost John Stones, Koeman says he plans on keeping hold of his remaining stars.
"I don't comment on rumours," Koeman told reporters, as quoted by Sky Sports. "We have discussions with the board and with Steve Walsh, and we want three or four more players.
"Romelu Lukaku is still an Everton player and we want to keep our best players.
