Watch: Gas station security footage of Lochte, U.S. swimming teammates
Security video of U.S. swimmer Ryan Lochte and teammates James Feigen, Gunnar Bentz, and Jack Conger may help shed on light on what happened early Sunday morning.
Lochte claimed he was robbed at gunpoint of his money (but not his phone or other valuables) by thieves posing as police while returning to the U.S. base in a taxi after a night of partying.
Others contend Lochte's party damaged a bathroom door at the gas station and paid for the damage before fleeing before police arrived.
The security footage, which originally aired on Globo TV in Brazil, doesn't show much action, but does seem to confirm that the swimmers arrived at the gas station in a taxi.
According to Globo, a security guard at the gas station brandished a gun in an attempt to hold Lochte and his teammates at the location until police arrived.
