City's Iheanacho stretchered off with apparent calf injury
Manchester City attacker Kelechi Iheanacho was forced to leave Wednesday's Champions League play-off match against Steaua Bucharest on a stretcher, the young Nigerian pulling up and immediately crumbling to the pitch with an apparent calf problem.
Iheanacho, 19, broke onto the scene last season, proving a valuable member of the squad off the bench as he found the net eight times in Premier League action.
While it remains to be seen if the teenager is set for an extended absence, his injury could see manager Pep Guardiola reevaluate his attacking options; Wilfried Bony, for example, has widely been expected to leave the club, but could be in line for some minutes if Iheanacho is sidelined for a significant period of time.
City went on to win Wednesday's match 1-0, advancing to the group stage of the Champions League with a comfortable 6-0 triumph on aggregate.
