Mario Chalmers cleared following Achilles tear

Mario Chalmers is ready to get back to work - now it's just a matter of finding an employer.
The free-agent point guard declared on Twitter that he has finally been cleared after sitting out the last five months due to a torn Achilles.
He couldn't have gotten hurt at a less opportune time. Not only did Chalmers get waived after his season-ending surgery, the veteran point guard went untouched as a delirious free-agency period passed by without him seeing a dime.
Having averaged 10.8 points, 3.8 assists, and 1.5 steals in his last season, Chalmers should have landed a multi-year deal. But given the grim history of NBA players tailing off after tearing their Achilles, he might be hard-pressed to find a suitor.
