Leicester City saved its most expensive deal for last.
The Foxes, who broke their transfer record earlier this summer when they signed Ahmed Musa from CSKA Moscow for £16 million, obliterated that mark on deadline day, inking Algerian striker Islam Slimani from Sporting Lisbon in a €30-million deal.

The deal could rise by an additional €5 million if certain conditions are met, Sporting confirmed.
"To join a team like Leicester City is a huge honour and I can’t wait to get started. I’ve always wanted to play my football in the Premier League and to get the opportunity to do that with the reigning champions was something I simply could not turn down," said Slimani.
The Algerian striker, 28, inked a five-year contract with Leicester, and brings with him an impressive scoring record. The imposing attacker has found the net 23 times in 43 matches for his country, and hit the net 48 times in 82 league matches with the Portuguese giant.
At the King Power Stadium, Slimani will link up with compatriot Riyad Mahrez.
"My friend Riyad Mahrez spoke to me about the club and about the atmosphere the Leicester fans create at King Power Stadium," Slimani said. "I will give absolutely everything I have on the pitch for them and for my teammates and I hope that together we can achieve something special."
The signing gives manager Claudio Ranieri a slew of options up front, as Slimani joins an attacking contingent that includes Jamie Vardy, the aforementioned Musa, Shinji Okazaki and Leonardo Ulloa.
