Towns: My game will be 'much, much better' thanks to Garnett
Karl-Anthony Towns had a historically great rookie campaign, and he doesn't plan to let up.
The Minnesota Timberwolves center is gunning to become the best player in the world, and credits his upward trajectory to a certain veteran who's taken him under his wing.
"I think (my game's) going to be much, much better," Towns told Jared Zwerling of NBPA.com. "I've had a whole season to learn under (Kevin Garnett). I just feel that I can be a much better player.
"Having a whole year to learn and have the whole year to see for myself what it takes, I feel I'm going to be a much better leader from a player standpoint. I will take what I've learned in one season and build upon it. It's going to be awesome."
The 40-year-old Garnett is expected to inform the team in the coming weeks whether he'll return for the final year of his contract and continue mentoring the reigning Rookie of the Year.
