Value Rankings
QB | RB | WR | TE
Top Options
NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Eli Manning (NYG) | vs. NO | 10 |
Matthew Stafford (DET) | vs. TEN | 9 |
Carson Palmer (ARI) | vs. TB | 9 |
Blake Bortles (JAX) | at SD | 9 |
Joe Flacco (BAL) | at CLE | 8 |
Derek Carr (OAK) | vs. ATL | 8 |
Cam Newton (CAR) | vs. SF | 8 |
Do you remember the last time the Giants and Saints met? It was last season at the SuperDome, and it ended in a 52-49 Saints victory. Manning was 30-for-41 with 350 yards, six touchdowns and no interceptions. Two of the three starting corners for the Saints are undrafted rookie free agents, and they both struggled mightily in Week 1.
Palmer's salary is low after an unexpected Week 1 loss to an injury-riddled Patriots team, but Palmer still had a solid game, throwing for 271 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions. You can expect him to improve on this performance against a subpar Buccaneers secondary.
Mid-Tier Targets
NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Drew Brees (NO) | at NYG | 7 |
Philip Rivers (SD) | vs. JAX | 7 |
Ben Roethlisberger (PIT) | vs. CIN | 7 |
Matt Ryan (ATL) | at OAK | 6 |
Marcus Mariota (TEN) | at DET | 6 |
Kirk Cousins (WAS) | vs. DAL | 6 |
Jimmy Garoppolo (NE) | vs. MIA | 6 |
Jameis Winston (TB) | at ARI | 5 |
Aaron Rodgers (GB) | at MIN | 5 |
Andy Dalton (CIN) | at PIT | 5 |
Jay Cutler (CHI) | vs. PHI | 5 |
Like Manning, Brees should also have a great game in what is expected to be the highest scoring contest of the week. However, as the most expensive QB on the slate, has much less value than Manning, especially on the road. His career QB rating on the road is 90.8 compared to a 101.2 mark at home.
Rodgers should only be taken as a contrarian option in GPPs, if at all. His salary is high and he struggled against Mike Zimmer's defense last season, posting a 83.4 QB rating and a 56.4 completion percentage in two starts.
Nothing to See Here
NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Alex Smith (KC) | at HOU | 4 |
Brock Osweiler (HOU) | vs. KC | 4 |
Dak Prescott (DAL) | at WAS | 4 |
Josh McCown (CLE) | vs. BAL | 4 |
Trevor Siemian (DEN) | vs. IND | 4 |
Shaun Hill/Sam Bradford (MIN) | vs. GB | 3 |
Carson Wentz (PHI) | at CHI | 3 |
Ryan Tannehill (MIA) | at NE | 3 |
Russell Wilson (SEA) | at LA | 3 |
Andrew Luck (IND) | at DEN | 2 |
Blaine Gabbert (SF) | at CAR | 1 |
Case Keenum (LA) | vs. SEA | 1 |
Luck should be completely avoided. Denver's pass rush will be too much to handle for a weak, inexperienced Colts offensive line. Not only will the group have to deal with Von Miller and DeMarcus Ware, but the loud crowd noise and the thin air at Sports Authority Field at Mile High will be major factors. Denver should be well rested after opening the season on Thursday night.
Wilson is dealing with a sprained ankle, and there's a chance he doesn't even play. If he does suit up, he should still left alone. With his mobility in question, Seattle's offensive line could be exposed on the road against a strong defensive front of the Rams.
