Report: Heat will welcome Bosh to camp but won't clear him long term

With NBA training camp just around the corner, the Miami Heat and Chris Bosh still remain at an impasse with regards to the star center's health.

Bosh insists he's ready to return after experiencing a second occurrence of blood clots in February, but the Heat have yet to formally comment on his condition.

At the very least, the Heat will welcome Bosh to training camp, sources tell ESPN's Brian Windhorst. However, the team remains uncomfortable with clearing Bosh to play in the long term.

Therefore, Bosh's camp sees the situation as unresolved, Windhorst relays.

Bosh underwent a physical with the Heat this week, though the results have yet to be announced.

There's no timetable for Bosh's situation to be resolved, sources told Ramona Shelburne of ESPN, but there's "more optimism" than at any point last season.

Bosh revealed in an Uninterrupted documentary that Heat doctors told him last season his career was "probably over" following the blood clot recurrence.

However, that hasn't stopped Bosh in his bid for a comeback. He's spent the summer training to stay ready in the event of a positive resolution.

The 32-year-old is signed for three more seasons.
