Mikael Backlund leaves World Cup to deal with concussion

Mikael Backlund is headed back to Calgary.
The Swedish forward's time at the World Cup has been cut short as he rehabs a concussion, Swedish coach Rikard Gronborg confirmed Saturday.
The injury, suffered Sept. 20 vs. Finland, kept Backlund out of the lineup last game.
The 27-year-old scored 47 points in 82 games with the Flames last season.
