Arizona State's Ballage returns after suffering apparent knee injury
Arizona State fans can breathe a sigh of relief, as running back Kalen Ballage returned to Saturday night's game against Cal after suffering an apparent knee injury earlier in the contest.
Ballage needed to be helped off the field in the first quarter after only recording one reception. He could be seen receiving attention from the Sun Devils' training staff, and had an ice bag taped to his left knee. He was eventually taken back to the locker room after riding a stationary bike.
It was reported during the broadcast that Ballage would not return, but he ultimately managed to find his way back on the field.
So far this season, Ballage has recorded 37 carries for 255 yards and nine rushing touchdowns, adding 10 receptions for 117 yards and one receiving touchdown. He tied the FBS record for single-game touchdowns earlier this year against Texas Tech.
