Value Rankings
C | 1B/DH | 2B | SS | 3B | OF | SP
Top Options
Name | Opponent | Value |
---|---|---|
Ryan Schimpf (SD) | at ARI | 9 |
Dustin Pedroia (BOS) | vs. TOR | 9 |
Ian Kinsler (DET) | at ATL | 8 |
Following a brief slump, Pedroia is back racking up the hits, collecting two in three of the past four games, along with two home runs and seven RBIs. At home against lefties, he's hitting a blistering .414 through 58 at-bats.
Schimpf has five home runs in 38 at-bats against the Diamondbacks, though none came against Archie Bradley. Bradley struggles at home (6.12 ERA) and against left-handed hitters (.314 average).
Kinsler doesn't come cheap, but he's been in fine form, with 14 hits and 10 runs over his last six games.
Mid-Tier Targets
Name | Opponent | Value |
---|---|---|
Brian Dozier (MIN) | at CWS | 7 |
T.J. Rivera (NYM) | at PHI | 7 |
Whit Merrifield (KC) | vs. CLE | 7 |
Dozier is slumping, with a .114 average in his last 10 games, but homered against James Shields in his last start against him. Shields opposes the Twins again on Saturday and has allowed 18 long balls in his last 10 starts.
Neither Rivera nor Merrifield has much power, but they've been productive relative to their prices, mainly through hits and runs scored. Rivera has driven in seven runs in his last 10 games.
Nothing to See Here
Name | Opponent | Value |
---|---|---|
Trea Turner (WAS) | vs. MIA | 3 |
Scooter Gennett (MIL) | at COL | 2 |
DJ LeMahieu (COL) | vs. MIL | 1 |
Washington's skeleton-crew lineup hasn't been affording Turner much of a chance to produce. He's scored three times in his last 10 games while contributing a home run and two stolen bases. At an elevated price, the rookie hasn't been worth the outlay of late.
Check the lineups carefully before rostering LeMahieu. He may be rested in an attempt to preserve his NL-leading average. He was pulled after two hitless at-bats on Friday that dropped his average to .348.
Gennett has had a breakout season, but he's not worthy of a Coors Field price boost when facing a solid left-hander like Colorado's Tyler Anderson. Anderson hasn't given up a home run all season to a fellow lefty.
