NFL to investigate Giants' Brown after new domestic violence details emerge
After police documents - in which New York Giants kicker Josh Brown admitted to multiple incidents of domestic violence against his ex-wife - surfaced Wednesday, the NFL elected to review the case and potentially hand out further punishment, reports NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Brown was initially suspended one game for violating the league's personal conduct policy, for what he described as "a single moment." Until Wednesday, the NFL was reportedly unaware of Brown's admissions because the King County Sheriff department wouldn't release the documents.
The NFL released a statement on the matter Thursday:

Brown was on the practice field Thursday, but the Giants said they were unaware that police had obtained the journal entries, emails, and letters in which Brown admitted guilt until after practice began, a team spokesman told ESPN's Jordan Raanan.
Because the police investigation was ongoing, the documents weren't made available to the public, league, or team, according to Bleacher Report's Jason Cole.
