Draymond wants to 'completely destroy' Cavs in Finals
After watching his team surrender a 3-1 lead to the Cleveland Cavaliers in last year's Finals, Draymond Green is looking for revenge.
The Golden State Warriors forward said that if the Cavaliers manage to win the East for the third season in a row, he'll be looking to obliterate the defending champs - if they make it just as far in the West.
"I want to win the Western Conference, try to beat everybody in the Western Conference - which is a tough task," Green told David Aldridge of nba.com. "There are so many good teams. So that's got to be our only focus, to win the Western Conference. And then, if Cleveland comes out of the East, I want to destroy Cleveland. No ifs, ands and buts about it. But I also know that there's steps to get to that point. And if and when we get to that point, I want to annihilate them.
Green's suspension in Game 5 has been largely regarded as the turning point in the series, allowing the Cavaliers to gain momentum and never look back.
While the stakes won't be as high, Green will have the opportunity to get some form of retribution on Christmas Day when the Warriors visit the Cavaliers at Quicken Loans Arena.
