LeBron lauds 'Hamilton' parody about his career
LeBron James hasn't yet seen "Hamilton," but that didn't diminish his appreciation for a parody based on his basketball career.

"It's great," James said of the incredibly detailed, Dose-produced musical, as reported by ESPN's Dave McMenamin. "It's unbelievable, actually."
The four-minute "Hamilton" parody chronicles James' rise from high school prodigy to four-time NBA MVP, complete with looks at his free-agent moves from Cleveland to Miami and back again.
"It was basically the whole journey, up until this point," James said Wednesday. "So, obviously they've done their homework and they were pretty much spot on. And the visuals were pretty cool too. You know, all the different characters and different uniforms and different jerseys and things of that nature. I've done something right up until this point with my career to see someone be able to take the time out of their days to do something like that. It's pretty cool."
The short musical includes actors playing Stephen Curry, Dwyane Wade, Kyrie Irving, and Chris Bosh, and recreates the TV special that saw him announce his decision to take his talents to South Beach, as well as the Sports Illustrated cover that declared his intention to return home.
James said he will definitely see "Hamilton" and added that he wasn't bothered by the timing of the parody after a cast member's speech to Vice President-elect Mike Pence - and Donald Trump's reaction to it - went viral.
