Report: Steelers' Karlos Williams suspended 10 games for substance abuse

Timothy T. Ludwig / USA TODAY Sports

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Karlos Williams has been suspended 10 games for violating the NFL's policy for substances of abuse, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Williams was signed to the Steelers' practice squad in October. He was also suspended for the first four games of the season for another violation of the substance abuse policy.

The second-year back had some success as a rookie, scoring seven touchdowns for the Buffalo Bills. He came into training camp overweight and was released by the Bills not long after his initial suspension was announced.

Williams hasn't been active for any games this season and may never play in the NFL again after this latest ban.
