Wiggins' cold streak continues in Wolves' loss
Andrew Wiggins was sizzling through the season's first 11 games, but he's since hit an extreme cold front familiar to Minnesota and his native Canada.
Wiggins had perhaps his worst game of the season in Wednesday's 117-96 Timberwolves loss to the New Orleans Pelicans, shooting 2-of-19 from the floor with 13 points, no rebounds, and no assists.
In doing so, Wiggins became the first player to shoot under 20 percent in a game with more than 15 field goal attempts with zero rebounds and zero assists since Joe Fulks in 1953, according to Elias Sports and ESPN.
Wiggins also failed to hit a 3-pointer for the third straight game, and is now 0-for-11 from deep in that time. While the torrid pace he began the season at from beyond the arc was likely unsustainable, Wiggins has dropped from first to 29th in the NBA in 3-point percentage in the space of one week.
In the last three games, Wiggins is 9-for-48 from the floor (18.8 percent), averaging only 11.3 points.
