Watch: Samuel's 2OT walkoff TD pushes Ohio State over Michigan
An epic game deserved an epic ending, and that's exactly what it got.
A 15-yard touchdown run by Curtis Samuel in double overtime gave No. 2 Ohio State a thrilling 27-24 win Saturday over No. 3 Michigan in front of a record crowd at Ohio Stadium.
The winning play came one snap after Ohio State converted a 4th-and-inches try by the skin of quarterback J.T. Barrett's teeth.
That play was preceded by a heart-stopping run by Samuel, who seemingly toured the entire field before gaining eight yards on 3rd-and-9.
The nail-biting contest saw Ohio State overcome a 10-point second-half deficit, despite kicker Tyler Durbin missing two chip-shot field goals, including one late that would've tied the game.
Durbin ultimately made a game-tying kick later, which set up the first overtime session. There, the Buckeyes claimed their first lead since the first quarter, and they did it only two plays in.
Michigan responded with a touchdown on 4th-and-goal to tie it, as Amara Darboh went to the ground to haul in a Wilton Speight pass.
It was all for nought, though.
Michigan settled for a go-ahead field goal in the second overtime period, but surrendered the game-ending touchdown to Samuel.
