Football world pays tribute after Brazilian club's deadly plane crash
The football world united to pay tribute after Monday's tragic plane crash that claimed the lives of 71 people.
Brazilian football club Chapecoense was devastated by the catastrophe after just three of the 22 members on board survived the crash.

The Serie A outfit was travelling from Santa Cruz, Bolivia to Medellin, Colombia to play a Copa Sudamerica finals match Wednesday against Atletico Nacional when an emergency was declared due to electrical failures.
Seventy-one people died after the plane crashed into a mountainous region near the Colombian capital.
Along with paying its respects, Chapecoense's opponents in the Copa Sudamericana final have insisted the Brazilian side be named honourary champions of the continental competition:

Meanwhile, Chapecoense players who didn't make the fateful trip were pictured in the team's dressing room in a state of shock:

Fans gathered outside the team's stadium during a moment of silence, followed by applause after learning the tragic news:

FIFA president Gianni Infantino expressed his shock and paid respects to those affected in a brief statement:
This is a very, very sad day for football. We are so sorry to hear about the airplane crash in Colombia, it is shocking and tragic news. At this difficult time our thoughts are with the victims, their families and friends. FIFA would like to extend its most heartfelt condolences to the fans of Chapecoense, the football community and media organisations concerned in Brazil.
Meanwhile, the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid held moments of silence during their respective training sessions while others took to social media to offer their condolences:
