Roman Torres was lucky to avoid injury in the opening half hour of Saturday's MLS Cup final at BMO Field after the Seattle Sounders defender took a shot to the face from pointblank range.
As Torres squared up to defend, Toronto FC star Sebastian Giovinco unleashed a powerful shot directly into Torres' face.
Fortunately, after receiving medical attention, Torres resumed playing.
