Look: Vardy sent off for 2-footed lunge on Stoke's Diouf
Jamie Vardy will be free to relax on Boxing Day and party on New Year's Eve.
On Saturday, in the 28th minute of Leicester City's Premier League fixture at Stoke City, Vardy was controversially given a straight red card for a two-footed challenge on Mame Biram Diouf. Although he got the ball and the tackle appeared to have no malicious intent, referee Craig Pawson noticed that both of the English forward's feet briefly abandoned the ground.

The red card marks Vardy's second of 2016, following the marching orders he received in April, when he was shown a second yellow card for diving at West Ham United and was sent off for the first time in his Leicester career.

Eleven minutes after Vardy left Leicester with 10 players, Bojan Krkic put Stoke up 1-0, converting a penalty kick after Danny Simpson was booked for a hand-ball in the penalty area.
