Cristiano Ronaldo stands alone after netting a hat-trick in the Club World Cup final - and not only because of his trademark celebration.
The prolific Real Madrid attacker powered his side to a 4-2 extra-time win over Japanese club Kashima Antlers by banging home a treble on Sunday, and in doing so, became the first player to ever score three times in the showpiece match of the intercontinental tournament.

After firing home from the penalty spot in the 60th minute, the Portuguese found the net twice in extra time - his 97th-minute strike (below) gave the Spanish side a 3-2 lead, before he put the contest to bed in the 104th minute with a thunderous effort from close range (above).
Ronaldo, 31, has now scored an incredible 40 hat-tricks for Real Madrid.
