Reggie Evans: George Karl is 'old and unhappy with himself'
Leaked excerpts from George Karl's forthcoming memoir have been making the rounds, and some of his former players have apparently gotten wind of it.
According to advance-copy readers, Karl spends part of the book tearing into some players from his Denver Nuggets teams, specifically Carmelo Anthony and J.R. Smith. Reggie Evans played for Karl's Nuggets for parts of two seasons - he also played the last few games of his career under Karl in Sacramento - and wasn't coy about who he feels is in the wrong.
Meanwhile, Karl's words also seem to have made their way to Smith, who Karl apparently wrote had a "huge sense of entitlement, a distracting posse, his eye always on the next contract, and some really unbelievable shot selection."
Karl also wrote that Smith's father "urged his son to shoot the ball and keep shooting it from the very moment I put him in the game."
Smith was ... unimpressed.
Karl's book, titled "Furious George" and seemingly living up to its name, is due to hit bookshelves in January.
