Twitter really wants Lane Kiffin to run the ball more
Questioning Lane Kiffin's play-calling as Alabama offensive coordinator has become one of Twitter's favorite pastimes during Crimson Tide games, and that was out in full force during Saturday's Peach Bowl against Washington.
Despite the fact Kiffin called 25 running plays compared to just nine passing calls in the first half, everybody seemed to think that wasn't nearly enough on the ground.
Alabama's two standout running backs Bo Scarbrough and Damien Harris averaged 8.9 and 4.5 yards, respectively, while quarterback Jalen Hurts averaged just 3.6 yards per pass, so perhaps the folks on Twitter are actually on to something.
I believe the Alabama head coach and his OC will have a come to Jesus meeting at halftime. Run the ball

Drive killed by Lane Kiffin’s strange desire to pass the ball when Scarborough is a train.

How is it that everyone in the free world can see give the ball to Scarbrough, yet Lane can’t? #PeachBowl

If Kiffin throws it again this drive, he should be escorted from the building.

Alabama is averaging under 4 yards per pass attempt. Bo Scarbough is averaging NINE yards per carry.. Keep feeding him?

Bo Scarbrough: 9 carries, 80 yards.

Alabama leads the game 17-7 at halftime, so regardless of the offensive play-calling, it appears the Crimson Tide will be just fine.
