Report: Eagles' Johnson files federal lawsuit against NFL, NFLPA
Philadelphia Eagles offensive tackle Lane Johnson filed a lawsuit in federal court against the NFL and NFLPA, asking for a vacation of the penalties issued against him, according to The MMQB's Albert Breer.
Johnson's 10-game suspension for a violation of the league's performance-enhancing drug policy was upheld in October, and he returned for the final two games of the regular season.
The 26-year-old was selected fourth overall in 2013 out of Oklahoma.
Johnson's attorney, Steve Zashin, released the following statement on behalf of his client:

Upon being initially suspended in August, Johnson lamented the appeal process.
"I feel like the players have no rights. The supplement industry is not regulated, so you do not know what's in it. That's hard to believe, coming from a second-time offender, but I want that to be clear - that the NFLPA does not stand up for players," Johnson said via ESPN's Tim McManus. "They don't check the supplements. They give us an app. Then if you call and ask them if you test positive for something they approve, it doesn't matter."
