Westbrook vows revenge on Pachulia: 'I'm going to get his ass back'
Russell Westbrook didn't sound like he was in a good mood after Wednesday's 121-100 loss to the Golden State Warriors. If watching former teammate Kevin Durant score 40 points on 16 shots wasn't enough, he also took a first-half shot of his own from Warriors center Zaza Pachulia.
Pachulia was whistled for a flagrant-1, and Westbrook pledged vengeance after the game.
"I don't know what happened," he said, as per Royce Young from ESPN. "But I'm going to get his ass back."
When asked about Pachulia standing defiantly over him, Westbrook added: "I don't play that game ... I'm gonna get his ass back. I don't when it is, I don't know how it's gonna be. I don't play that game."
The hostilities appeared to begin on the previous play when Westbrook hit the center with an elbow on a drive.
The two teams meet again Feb. 11 in Oklahoma City.
