Smith will join the cast of "NFL GameDay First" Sundays at 7 a.m. ET. He'll begin his new career during Super Bowl Sunday as part of the network's morning show.
"I was blessed to have a long and productive playing career on the field but now it's time to turn my attention to the business of covering the game and I couldn't be more thrilled to be joining the team at NFL Network," Smith said in a press release.
Smith wrapped up his 16-year career in January with 1,031 total catches for 14,731 yards and 81 touchdowns.
