Shaq's mom orders him to end feud with McGee
It looks like the war of words between Shaquille O'Neal and Golden State Warriors center JaVale McGee may finally be over.
After causing a stir following this week's blowup on social media, The Big Aristotle has been given specific instructions from his mother not to engage with McGee going forward.
"Just say Shaq’s mom called him, told him, 'Stop this silliness. Leave him alone.' So that's the end of the beef," O'Neal told The Undefeated's Mike Wise. "You won't be hearing about it from my side anymore. Mama has spoken."
While Shaq's razzing of McGee initially started as a joke, Lucille O'Neal believes the longstanding beef went too far.
"It's not funny anymore, seeing the things they're saying to each other," Lucille said. "They need to squash this and move on."

Lucille added that while many of her son's threats were said in a joking manner, she still believes Shaq should be the bigger man and step away.
"Charles tells Shaquille all the time on the show, 'I'm going to slap you,' but he doesn't mean it," Lucille said. "My take on it? People are asked to send in videos for 'Shaqtin a Fool.' This isn't just Shaquille's idea. It's all in fun. Now, I understand how after a while JaVale could get tired of it. Look at how many times he's been laughed at."
McGee's mother, Pamela, had a different take on the matter, saying that O'Neal should be disciplined for going after her son.
"He cyberbullied my son," Pamela McGee told Wise. "Totally inappropriate. Shaquille needs to lose his job or be suspended. The NBA needs to make a stand."
